Employee Relations
Conflict resolution, workplace investigations, and retention strategy — handled by a neutral third party with the training to do it properly.
Employee relations problems escalate because nobody wants to handle them. The manager is too close, the owner is too busy, and by the time it becomes unavoidable it has become expensive.
An external HR advisor changes the dynamic. A workplace investigation conducted by someone with no stake in the outcome is more credible to everyone involved and far more defensible afterwards. A difficult conversation facilitated by a neutral party tends to stay a conversation.
Beyond the acute problems, we work on the conditions that produce them: measuring engagement honestly, identifying why people actually leave, and coaching managers through the performance conversations they have been avoiding.
Retention is cheaper than recruitment. It is also harder, which is why most businesses do the recruitment instead.
